Battle Arena Toshinden is making a comeback, with Edia announcing Toshinden Collection, currently a tentative title, ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2026. The company previously announced plans to bring the first three games in the weapons-based fighting series to modern platforms. Now, the collection offers fans another chance to revisit those early 3D fighters.
Whether the collection will include any spin-offs or Toshinden 4, which was released in Japan and Europe, remains unconfirmed. Details about additional features are also limited, although Edia has confirmed local multiplayer on a shared screen. Online multiplayer has yet to be announced.

The Battle Arena Toshinden series debuted on the original PlayStation in 1995, with versions of the first game later reaching Sega Saturn and PC. Its weapons-based combat and ability to sidestep attacks helped distinguish it among the early wave of 3D fighting games. The series even received an anime adaptation, taking its characters beyond the fighting arena.
