This weekend, Blizzard Entertainment will once again kick off its uninterrupted tribute to itself with the start of BlizzCon 2026, and there will be things happening. There will be elves. There will be blood. There may be phones, assuming you guys have them. There will be esports. If the team finds some time, there may be new announcements! All right, probably the new announcements are the things most people are going to be watching for, all snark aside. But is that what you will be watching for?
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think anyone is going to be watching BlizzCon 2026 on the basis of learning Chris Metzen’s secret Double Chocolate Brownie recipe (note: Mr. Metzen, if you’re reading this and you have one, by all means, share). But I’m curious about what people are eager to see during this particular event. I don’t intend to share my own thoughts to avoid poisoning the well, but what are you looking forward to seeing next weekend? More details on things you know are happening? Hoping for an announcement that hasn’t actually been teased at all? Just some neat cosplay?
