The event runs from Sept. 15 to Sept. 20, which includes three tournament stages.

Day 1, Sept. 15 — Play-in matches

1v1 Finals results

Four Rocket League solo competitors have qualified for the 1v1 World Championship Finals. They play three matches: two semifinals on Sept. 16 and the grand final on Sept. 18.

2v2 Finals results

The Double Championship format is similar to the 1v1 competition. Four teams play semifinals on Sept. 17 and the grand final on Sept. 19.

The primary tournament at the RLCS 2026 features three stages.

Play-ins are for lower-seeded teams to prove their strength for the groups. 

The group stage treats us to many Rocket League esports battles, as each team plays against everyone in their group. The lower placements mean elimination.

The playoffs are the most intense, as the World Championship trophy is in the visible distance.

Announcements to look forward to: Season 24 and Rocket League on Unreal Engine 6

During the Paris Major 2026, Psyonix showed us a Rocket League trailer — the game will be transferred to the newest Unreal Engine 6. We haven’t heard about this plan since then, and the World Championship is a decent opportunity for the developers to refresh the hype.

Rocket League Season 24 was already teased before the World Finals, and more details are certainly coming. All the main announcements usually happen during the Championship Sundays, ahead of the grand final.

Another reveal we are looking forward to is info on RLCS 2027. For the 2026 season, we received a new LAN event, the Kick-Off Weekend, and the 2v2 competition. The new tradition for Rocket League is to make gaps between esports seasons pretty short, so the next tournament should come soon.
